About a month ago, I applied for a teaching position at a private school dedicated to kids with autism. Yesterday I got an email from the director and she wanted to set up an interview with me. I am extremely estatic to say the least! This is an amazing opportunity, not to mention a great paying job. We have been playing phone tag the last day and a half, so I am not sure exactly when the interview is, but nevertheless, I'm happy to be getting my foot in the door. I'm crossing my fingers I get it!! :)
I've also decided to rent a house after my lease is up. Even with only one child, an apartment it just too small. I want a house with a backyard for Lily and the doge to play in. Because my lease isn't up until the end of this coming summer, I haven't been doing too much research, but I have been browsing. A 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house in a good area and very close by, is around $800-$850 a month; obviously not counting utilities. But if I get a roommate and we split everything, it will come out to being a little cheaper or the same price as what I'm paying now for this tiny apartment. I think it's worth it. The only problem is finding a roommate who I can trust to pay their portion, keep up with the cleaning, etc. I prefer living alone just because I like things done a certain way, but if I can find someone compatible with me, it would just work out better.
Things have been getting better lately. I have a few decisions to make about certain stuff and I seem to be stuck when trying to find a conclusion, but I know that everything happens for a reason and I'm hoping that 2013 will be a year of happiness and goals reached....I have to stay optimistic.
