8 Months Old

I meant to blog the day Lily turned 8 months, but I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time or when I did have time, I forgot. Lily's check-up is coming up and I'm excited to see how much she's grown this month. Last time she was checked, she weighed 16 lbs and was 26 inches long. She's pretty small, but I have no idea why because she eats more than me!

She is such an energetic baby. She definetly keeps me on my toes and takes up all of my energy haha. She gets into everything. Everything goes in her mouth. Now that she's crawling, she's pulling herself up onto things. Just yesterday she learned to use her toy box to walk around the living room. I use to want her to be an early walker, but I changed my mind. She is already so much work, I couldn't imagine having to chase her around everywhere too.

Her first word was "mama". Yay! :) She can wave bye and I've heard her say it a couple of times. She loves to mock people. So she's picked up some funny noises. She likes to talk to herself and it's so funny. She knows what "no" means and if I say it, she'll look up at me quivering her lower lip trying to make herself cry. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen and it takes everything I have not to crack up laughing because it's so cute. So I usually have to turn my head so she doesn't see me laughing at her.

I attempted to take a picture of her tooth, but I couldn't get it. Turned out to be a really good picture anyway :)
